Why is the Music Box completely empty?

This happens because Holiday Lights can't find the "Holiday Lights Music" folder (which should be in the same place as the Holiday Lights application), or because the "Holiday Lights Music" folder is empty.

The Holiday Lights setup program places this folder in the correct location when you first install Holiday Lights. Some reasons it can't be found later are:

  • You moved the Holiday Lights application file to a different folder on your computer without moving the "Holiday Lights Music" folder
  • You moved Holiday Lights from one computer to another without using the setup program
  • You restored the Holiday Lights program from a backup without restoring the "Holiday Lights Music" folder
  • A friend sent you Holiday Lights by e-mail and didn't send the setup program

If you moved the Holiday Lights application file to a different folder, the easiest way to fix the problem is to put it back where it was (normally C:\Program Files\Tiger Technologies\Holiday Lights). If you want the application file to be in a separate folder for some reason, make a shortcut in the other folder instead of moving or copying it.

If this doesn't solve the problem, or you didn't use the setup program when you installed Holiday Lights, you can simply download the setup program from this Web site, then run it on your computer. It will install the missing "Holiday Lights Music" folder and make sure everything else is in the right place.
