I've used the trial version of Holiday Lights, but I don't want to buy it. How do I permanently remove it?

To remove Holiday Lights, first choose "Exit Holiday Lights" from the small red bulb menu in the taskbar (near the clock, probably in the bottom-right corner of your screen).

Then click the Start button, then choose these items from the menus that appear:

  • Programs
  • Holiday Lights
  • Uninstall Holiday Lights
Then allow the software to perform an "Automatic" removal. That's all it takes (some items may not be deleted until you restart the computer). If you manually moved custom bulbs, music, or background pictures to the Holiday Lights folder, you may have to delete these items by hand.

If You Don't See Holiday Lights in the Start Menu

If you don't see Holiday Lights in the Start menu, it's probably because you didn't use the setup program when you put Holiday Lights on your computer. This prevents the uninstaller from working.

You can still easily remove Holiday Lights:

  1. Run Holiday Lights one last time and open the Settings window
  2. Click "General" and make sure that the checkbox that causes Holiday Lights to run every time you turn on the computer is not checked
  3. Press "OK" and choose "Exit Holiday Lights" from the small red bulb menu in the taskbar
  4. Delete the Holiday Lights folder (normally found at C:\Program Files\Tiger Technologies\Holiday Lights) by putting it in the Recycle Bin
You may also wish to open your Display Control Panel and choose a different screen saver, otherwise you'll just see a blank screen when the screen saver starts.

Use the "Back" button on your browser to return to the previous page.
