There are two versions of Holiday Lights circulating, with different "removal techniques": to tell which version you have, look in the Holiday Lights File menu to see if there's an item named "Launch at System Startup".

If there is, simply uncheck the "Launch at System Startup" item.

If there isn't a "Launch at System Startup" item, you need to:

• Open your System Folder;
• Open the Startup Items folder inside the System Folder;
• Throw away the file named "Holiday Lights alias".

Doing either of these will stop Holiday Lights from automatically launching next time you turn on your Macintosh. (You can always start it again in the future by simply opening the "Holiday Lights" application.)

If you also wish to also permanently remove the program from your disk, simply throw away the entire "Holiday Lights Folder" by moving it to the trash can.
