About Helium
Helium gives you instant access to those pesky little pop-up help balloons — at the touch of a key!
Before Helium came along, viewing a single help balloon involved:
- Move the mouse to the help menu;
- Choose "Show Balloons";
- Move the mouse back to its original position to view the balloon;
- Move the mouse back to the help menu;
- Choose "Hide Balloons";
- And move the mouse back to its original position again.
With Helium, you simply:
- Hold down one or more keys of your choice to show the help balloon.
That's all there is to it — when you release the keys, the balloon disappears! For example, you can easily configure Helium to display help balloons for as long as the "control" and "shift" keys are held down.
But Wait, There's More
Helium also allows you to pick any font and size for help text, making it far more readable. Here's a sample:
As if that weren't enough, you can hide the (mostly useless) Help menu with Helium (but still show it for a moment when you need it).
